The transitional Midlength os our take on a popular ‘evolution style board’ with roots from the late 60s or ‘transitional period’.
A Western cultural upheaval post Vietnam War sparked experimentation through music, fashion, drugs, art and surfboards.
Surfboards were getting smaller and more critical manoeuvres being performed.
Added 'vee' through the tail helps these boards turn on a dime and really engage the rail. Tight turns in the pocket are made easy whilst also allowing the board to trim and glide with stance front of centre.
A wider tail outline combined with a generous curve allows the board to swing around and hook late through a fade take off or cutback.
A great all rounder that can be surfed in a variety of waves ranging from 1-5ft.
Side fins are optional for extra drive and response although a single fin with high rake and flex is recommended to unlock the boards true potential.
